This small publication comprises of the text of a lecture delivered at the University of Durham in 1986. The aim of the lecture is to outline how Muggletonianism appealed to its audience and as such the document concentrates on the social psychological rather than the religious nature of Muggletonianism, which renders the analysis rather materialistic.
